Time travel to the future

The current pandemic has changed everyone's routine, from going out when we wanted to to quarantines, from seeing our faces every day at the university to only seeing squares by Zoom, from being able to go down the street with your face uncovered to do it with mask. All this in less than a couple of weeks.

Vaccines such as Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer or Cansino are currently being applied, which allow greater immunity to the effects of the COVID-19 virus, especially in not falling into hospitalization. However, new variants of the virus have appeared that have worried the scientific community as to whether these vaccines work for the new variants.

I would like to travel a few years into the future to know if the pandemic ended, to know what effects it had on the population, how long the classes would last in online mode, if we will use masks for a long time, or if in a few years we could meet as before.

I hope this happened long before 2030, that the pandemic lasted a couple more months and we managed to get back to normal. If that were the case, I would go back to the present and wait for it to all end. In the opposite case that we were still in a pandemic, I should honestly think if I would return to the present.

My future job

 When I was a child I wanted to be a veterinarian, my dream job was to be with animals all day. But as I grew up my career options changed, as did my expectations of an ideal job. Now, I study sociology, with the expectation of find and solve problems for the benefit of the people. In the future, my goal is to finish my degree and do a master's degree in public policy. My dream is to study at least one semester in a foreign country, it is a difficult but not impossible dream. I would not like to work in an office, I would like to have more contact with people, which in the office is difficult.

On the other hand, this last year, I have been interested in studying a pedagogy, due to the online classes I have given a couple of classes to my sister and cousins, they attend school. As well as my aunt who studies social work and there are contents that have happened to me in my career. It has been a good experience, but I admit that I do not have much patience to teach. At the moment, I only have contemplated finishing the career.

Favourite Series: Game of Thrones

 

My favorite series is Game of Thrones, it is a science fiction series, in all its seasons many well-known actors appeared like Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Kit Harington, and Peter Dinklage.

I started watching Game of Thrones and I was very interested in its history, how the characters unfolded, and all the production behind it.

GOT has many special effects, during their seasons we can see how three great dragons grow, thoseeffects are produced only with VFX technology, it is fantastic.   

The costumes are very specific to each character, the extravagant dresses, the armors, the big fur coats. The characterizations of the makeup with prosthetics are so detailed and is very impressive.

All this things can harmony with the scene and the landscape. In the series we can see a great diversity of landscapes; tropical, desert, polar. The landscapes in the north were recorded in Iceland, I think the professionalism of the entire team to record in places with very low temperatures leaves you speechless.

Unfortunately, like many fans, the season 8 finale left me with so many things to wish. I didn't like such an abrupt ending to the whole story that unfolded in previous seasons.

Childhood Series

When I was a child, I didn't use to watch TV so much, but I remember there was a time when I really liked "Winx club", it was a show about a girl who found out that she was a fairy and with other fairies they went to a school and fought against bad fairies.

I remember that, in school, we used to play the roles of these fairies, we all chose a fairy and we played to be them.

I also remember that I had a couple of dolls of them, I remember that they were very popular, but also expensive. Once, in Christmas, I remember that I wanted one of those dolls very much, in my mother's work they gave gifts to the children of the workers, I hoped that this gift was one of those fairies, but it was a baby doll, I was very disappointed and made a scandal, my mother scolded me, well, I'm not proud of that anecdote.

I did not remember all this, until I saw that this year Netflix released a live-action winx series, then I saw the series in live action and I did not like it, I honestly expected more.

Best carnival

I am a great admirer of music in general, but I've never been to an artist concert. I live in Rengo, 0`higgins region, where are many carnivals and festivals in the summer. The festivals are very funny, there are a lot of people, food, crafts, and music. Artists, comedians, singers of all musical styles are invitated every night.

In 2019, my friends and I went to a carnival in San Vicente de T.T. First, a group of tropical music appeared, I don't remember the name, and then Denise Rosenthal sang. I did not know her but my friends did, we saw her show and I liked her music. Since that day I follow her and listen to her music. I really enjoyed that night a lot and the next morning I didn't have a voice from shouting so much at the carnival. 

Unfortunately, these festivals are not celebrated now due to the pandemic, but I hope they can return soon because it was a very fun and cool experience.

Spain: A country that I would like to visit.

 Traveling is an activity that I like very much, although I have never traveled outside the country. My dream has always been to travel to Europe, especially Spain, mainly because of its language so that I could talk to people wherever I go. Spain is located on the Iberian Peninsula, next to Portugal. It is a land full of very diverse cultures and, although Spanish is commonly spoken, there are hundreds of differences between the languages of each area in Spain.

Something that draws my attention about Spain is its climate, it is usually mild weather, not so different from the Chilean climate, but somewhat colder. There are many mountains and a very diverse flora and fauna.

I would like to travel to Spain for a while, maybe study a few years and go back to Chile. There are many places in Spain that I would like to visit such as Barcelona or the capital, Madrid, but I could not be away from my family and friends for a long time so I would surely want to return to Chile at some point.
